TSC TPAD Login: How to Create an Account and Submit Your Appraisal

TSC TPAD Login happens at tpad2.tsc.go.ke, using your TSC Number as username and a password you set yourself — not the OTP-based systems used for T-Pay or the Leave portal. TPAD (Teacher Performance Appraisal and Development) is completed every term by every TSC-employed teacher, so getting locked out isn’t a once-off problem — it can hit you every three months. Here’s the full account creation, login, and submission process.

⚡ Quick Answers
What’s my TSC TPAD login?
Your TSC Number as username, plus a password. On your very first login, the password defaults to your TSC Number before you’re prompted to change it.
Where do I access TPAD?
tpad2.tsc.go.ke, or via tsc.go.ke > Online Services > Teacher Appraisal.
How often do I fill it in?
Every term — TPAD is not a once-a-year exercise.
Who signs off my appraisal?
You submit it, then your Head of Institution countersigns before it’s finalised with TSC.

How to Create Your Account and Log In

1

Go to the TPAD Portal

Visit tpad2.tsc.go.ke directly, or go to tsc.go.ke, select Online Services, then Teacher Appraisal (TPAD).

2

Select Your User Type

Choose Teacher/Deputy, Head of Institution, Curriculum Support Officer, Sub-County Director, County Director/County ICT, or Regional Director — the portal serves all of these roles.

3

First-Time Users: Create an Account

Click “First time login? Create account” and fill in: TSC Number, ID Number, Phone Number, Email Address, Password, Confirm Password, and Mode of Notification. Click Create. You’ll receive an SMS token — enter it and click “Verify Token” to complete registration. Note: newly recruited teachers can only be added to TPAD by their Head of Institution, and usually only after their first salary payment goes through.

3b

Add Your Bio Data

After verifying your account, add your Bio/Institution Information and Contact Information. Then go to “Subjects Combination” and select the subjects you teach, followed by “Level of Education” to add your KCSE grade, highest level of education, and institution of study. Click Submit after each section.

4

Returning Users: Log In

Enter your TSC Number as your username and your password, then click Login. On your very first login your password defaults to your TSC Number, and you’ll be prompted to change it to something stronger.

5

Reset Your Password if Needed

Click “Forgot Password” on the login screen if you can’t remember your current one.

6

Proceed With Appraisal

From your dashboard, click “Proceed with Appraisal” to work through the 5 teaching standards across 3 categories: Instructional Delivery, Teacher Conduct and Professionalism, and Community Practice. See the full breakdown below.

7

Set Targets, Add Evidence, and Submit

Work through each standard — setting targets, uploading evidence, and self-rating — then click Submit. Your appraisal is rated by your appraiser, then routed to your countersigning officer, based on your role and school level (see the table below).

Note on lesson observation: Under Standard 1, you’re required to be observed teaching at least once a term. This part is conducted by your appraiser — typically the Deputy Head of Institution — not filled by you directly.

Standards, weightings, and the appraiser/countersigning hierarchy above reflect the TPAD framework as documented in TSC-derived training materials. Some 2026 sources reference a newer “TPAD 3” update; if TSC rolls out materially different standards or a different login flow, we’ll update this page.

FAQ: TSC TPAD Login

What is my TSC TPAD login?

Your TSC Number is your username, together with a password you set when creating your account. On your very first login, the password defaults to your TSC Number before the system prompts you to change it.

Where do I access the TPAD portal?

Directly at tpad2.tsc.go.ke(https://tpad2.tsc.go.ke/auth/login), or via tsc.go.ke under Online Services, then Teacher Appraisal (TPAD).

How often do I need to fill in TPAD?

TPAD is completed termly. Every teacher employed by the Commission, in both public and private schools registered with TSC, is required to fill and submit it each term.

I’m a newly recruited teacher and can’t find my account. What’s wrong?

Newly recruited teachers are only added to TPAD by their Head of Institution, and typically only after they’ve received their first salary payment. If your account isn’t showing, check with your Head of Institution first.

Who completes my lesson observation?

Your appraiser conducts it, usually your Deputy Head of Institution, at least once a term as part of Standard 1. You don’t fill this part in yourself.

Who countersigns my TPAD appraisal?

It depends on your role and school level. A Primary teacher’s appraisal is countersigned by the Head of Institution, while a Head of Institution’s own appraisal is countersigned by the County Director. See the full breakdown by role above.

What happens after I submit my appraisal?

Your submission is sent to your Head of Institution for countersigning before it is finalised with the Commission.

Login and account creation steps verified against the official TPAD portal (tpad2.tsc.go.ke), July 2026. Legal basis cross-checked against Regulation 52(1) of the Code of Regulations for Teachers (2015).
