TSC Registration Status Check: What Each Status Means
Checking your TSC registration status only needs your National ID or Passport number — not a TSC number, since checking status is exactly how you find out whether one has been issued. Here’s where to check, and a plain-language breakdown of what In Progress, Verified, Reset, and Rejected actually mean for your application.
How to Check Your TSC Registration Status
Go to the Status Page
Visit tsconline.tsc.go.ke and open “Check Registration Status” from the Online Services menu.
Enter Your ID or Passport Number
Use the exact ID or passport number you submitted with your original application.
Search
Your current status and remarks history will display immediately — no waiting, no login required.
What Each Status Actually Means
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Incomplete | Some required fields or documents weren’t submitted — the application isn’t finished on your end. |
| In Progress | Received and awaiting review. Nothing to do but wait. |
| Verified | Your details and documents have been confirmed correct — a TSC number is being finalized. |
| Registered | Successful. Your TSC number is issued and shown on the portal; you’ll also get a confirmation SMS. |
| Reset | An error needs correcting — TSC will SMS you the specific issue. Fix it and it returns to In Progress. |
| Rejected | Didn’t meet minimum requirements. TSC communicates the reason within 30 days. |

WhatsApp Us NowFAQ: TSC Registration Status
What do I need to check my TSC registration status?
Only your National ID or Passport number — the same one you used when you submitted your application. You don’t need a TSC number yet, since checking status is how you find out if one has been assigned.
What does In Progress mean?
Your application has been received but TSC has not yet finished reviewing it. There’s nothing to do at this stage except wait and check back periodically.
What does Reset mean?
TSC found an error or missing detail in your application. You’ll be notified by SMS what needs correcting. Once you fix it, your status moves back to In Progress for re-review.
What does Rejected mean, and can I reapply?
Rejected means your application did not meet minimum requirements — commonly academic qualifications, or conduct/legal grounds. TSC communicates the specific reason. Whether you can reapply depends on that reason; some issues can be fixed and resubmitted, others cannot.
How long does it take to move from In Progress to Registered?
TSC’s standard processing window is 30 days from submission, though it can move faster or slower depending on application volume and whether your documents were correct the first time.
Status-check process verified against the official TSC Online portal (tsconline.tsc.go.ke), July 2026.
