How to log in to the SHA employer portal

Unlike the individual Afya Yangu portal, the employer portal does not use an ID number, PIN, or OTP. It works like a standard business account login — email and password only.

Go to employers.sha.go.ke/login

This is the dedicated login page for registered employer accounts.

Enter your email and password

Use the email address and password set up when your employer account was created.

Forgot your password?

Use the “Forgot Your Password?” link on the login page to reset it directly — there is no need to contact support first for a routine reset.

Registering a new employer account

If your business has never registered on the SHA employer portal, you will see two registration options: Activate with NHIF e-Services, for businesses that were already registered under the defunct NHIF system, or New Business, for a business registering with SHA for the first time.

Have these ready before you start — the registration form will not let you finish without them.

KRA PIN CertificateA valid KRA PIN certificate, uploaded as PDF, PNG, or JPG, under 2MB.
Business Registration Certificate or Act of ParliamentProof that the business or organization is legally registered, uploaded as PDF, PNG, or JPG, under 2MB.

The registration form itself is split into two sections:

Organization details

Organization name, contact name, contact phone number, physical address, postal address, and KRA PIN.

Admin details

First name, last name, phone, and email for the person who will manage the account and create other users.

Note: The admin account you set up during registration is the one that creates and manages other user logins for your organization afterward, so use details for whoever should hold that responsibility long-term.
