The KSTVET e-learning portal is the Learning Management System (LMS) run by the Open, Distance and eLearning (ODeL) Department, established in 2014 to support flexible and blended training across the institution. It is where online terms, modules, and short courses are actually delivered — course material, assignments, quizzes, and grades all live here, separate from the admissions and finance functions handled on the main student portal.
How to Log In to the KSTVET E-Learning Portal
Open the official login page
Go directly to elearning.kstvet.ac.ke/login/index.php. You can also reach it from the KSTVET website by clicking the E-Learning link in the main menu.
Enter your Username
Type your assigned username into the Username field on the login form.
Enter your Password
Type your password into the Password field directly below it.
Click Log In
Press the Log In button. If your details are correct, you’ll land on your personal dashboard showing the courses you’re enrolled in.
Log In as a KSTVET Guest — No Account Needed
If you don’t yet have a KSTVET e-learning account — or you just want to see what a course looks like before enrolling — the login page also has a “Log in as a guest” option sitting alongside the username/password form. Guest access does not require any registration.

Forgot Your KSTVET Password — Reset by Username or Email
If you can’t remember your password, the e-learning portal’s reset tool works differently from the main student portal. Instead of only using your email, you can search for your account two ways:
Option A — Search by Username
Enter your Username into the search field and submit.
Option B — Search by Email Address
Enter your registered Email address into the search field and submit.
Click “Forgotten your username or password?”

Choose how you want to search
Pick whichever you remember: your Username, or the Email address you registered with. You only need to fill in one, not both.
Submit and check your email
If the system finds a matching account in its database, it will send an email to the address on file with instructions on how to get access again. If nothing arrives, check your spam folder before trying again.

Reset email never arrives
Check your spam/junk folder first. If you searched by username and nothing arrives, try again using your email address instead, in case the email on file differs from what you expect.
Course not showing on your dashboard
You may not yet be enrolled for the current term or cohort. Confirm your registration status with your department, or check via guest access first to see if the course exists under a different cohort name.
Can’t submit an assignment or take a quiz as a guest
This is expected — guest access is preview-only. You need a registered, enrolled account to submit coursework.
