These tariffs fall under the SHIF surgical package, which limits households to 3 minor, 2 major, and 1 specialized procedure per year. Cardiothoracic and vascular procedures are subject to selective procurement — not every Level 4–6 facility offering a procedure is automatically contracted to provide it under SHIF.

Cardiac and pulmonary emergencies are handled separately. Emergency procedures to stabilize trauma patients with cardiac, pulmonary, or critical injuries within the first 24 hours are covered under the Accident & Emergency package in the ECCIF fund, not the standard surgical tariff schedule above.
