How to Apply on KUCCPS
To apply on KUCCPS, log in at students.kuccps.net/login using your KCSE Index Number, exam year, and your Birth Certificate or KCPE Index Number as your password. Search the Programmes menu for courses you qualify for, enter your preferred programme codes in order (up to 6 for Degree, up to 4 for Diploma/Certificate/Artisan), submit, and pay the KSh 1,500 application fee via eCitizen (M-PESA Paybill 222222). Only apply while a KUCCPS application window is currently open.

How to apply, step by step
Log in to the Student Portal
Go to the official KUCCPS Student Portal login page. Enter your KCSE Index Number (no slash), your KCSE examination year, and your password – your Birth Certificate Number or KCPE Index Number, as used during KCSE registration.
Confirm your contact details
On first access you’ll be asked for a valid email and phone number for yourself and a guardian or parent. Keep these accurate, since KUCCPS uses them to reach you about your placement.
Check the programmes you qualify for
Use the Institutions or Programmes menu on the portal, or search by course name. Each programme page shows its minimum grade, cluster subject requirements, and the 7-character programme code you’ll need.
Enter your programme codes, in order
Under Application/Revision, enter your preferred programme codes starting with your top choice. Degree applicants get up to 6 choices (your first choice can be the same programme at up to 3 different institutions), while Diploma, Certificate, and Artisan applicants get up to 4.
Submit and pay via eCitizen
Click Submit, then Proceed to Pay. Choose M-PESA, KCB, RTGS, or Airtel Money. For M-PESA, use Business Number 222222 and the Payment Reference Code shown on screen – not your M-PESA transaction code. Keep that reference code, since you’ll need it again for any future changes.
Confirm your application went through
Check Application History or your Dashboard, where an active application is highlighted, to confirm the submission succeeded before you log out.
The application fee and how to pay
The standard KUCCPS application fee for first-time applicants is KSh 1,500. KUCCPS has stated this fee is set by its placement policy and processing procedure, and it applies whether you’re applying for Degree, Diploma, Certificate, or Artisan placement.
Revisions and inter-institution transfers can carry a different fee from a fresh application – the transfer fee, for example, has been reported at KSh 1,000 in recent cycles. Always confirm the exact amount shown to you on your own application screen before paying, since fees can be adjusted between placement cycles.
