How to log in, step by step
Go to the correct portal
Teachers use portal.tsc.go.ke. Actioning officers and Heads of Institution use tsconline.tsc.go.ke.
Enter your TSC Number and password
This is the same password you use for the Declaration of Income, Assets and Liabilities system (Teachers Online Services). If you’ve never made a declaration or can’t remember it, use Forgot Password instead of guessing.
Enter the OTP sent to your TSC email
Check your official TSC email inbox, not your phone’s SMS inbox. Click Verify OTP once entered, or Resend OTP if it’s expired.
You’ll land on your dashboard
Teachers see a Transfer and Swap Requests summary. From there you’re ready to move on to applying for a transfer or swap. HOI and Secretariat users see additional approval and comment tools instead.
Fixing OTP and password problems
Most login failures come down to one of three things:
Entering a personal or old email instead of checking your official TSC email is the most common reason teachers think the OTP “never arrives.” It’s usually sitting unread in the TSC inbox rather than failing to send.
If you’ve forgotten your password entirely, or have never logged in to make a declaration before, click Forgot Password on the login screen, verify the OTP sent to your TSC email, and set a new password from there.
What you’ll see after logging in
Once logged in as a teacher, the sidebar gives you access to Transfer & Swap, where you can view any previous transfer requests, request a new transfer, or browse open swap opportunities matched to your subject combination and school category.
