SHA E-Contracting Portal: How to Register and Log In
The SHA E-Contracting Portal at econtracting.sha.go.ke is where health facilities apply for and manage their contracts with the Social Health Authority. It went officially live on 17th September 2026, and any applications made before that date — including test submissions — have been archived. If your facility wants to be contracted under the new cycle, you need to apply fresh, from the live portal, from scratch.
Is this for you, or for individual SHA members?
The E-Contracting Portal is for health facilities and providers applying to be contracted by SHA to deliver services — hospitals, clinics, ambulance providers, and similar. It is not where individual members register their household for SHA cover or pay their monthly contribution. If you’re looking to register as an individual member or check your own contribution status, that’s done on afyayangu.go.ke, not this portal.
What funds does the new contracting cycle cover?

Documents to have ready before you start
SHA recommends preparing these before you begin the e-contract, so the process doesn’t stall midway:
Valid facility license
Valid professional registrations for staff
Beneficial ownership declaration
Valid tax compliance certificate
Bank account in the official facility or institutional name
Bank confirmation letter
Signed anti-fraud, anti-bribery and conflict of interest undertaking
How to register on the SHA E-Contracting Portal
Identify — enter your ID number
On the Create Account page, select ID Type (National ID or Alien ID), enter your ID number, and click Validate.
Confirm your details
The system pulls your first and last name from the ID number you entered. Confirm this is you, then add your email address.
Select your regulatory body and registration number
Choose the body that licenses your facility — KMPDC (Facilities), COC (Facilities), or KRA PIN (for ambulance providers) — and enter the matching registration number.
Set a password and verify
Create and confirm a password, then complete the ID and email verification step to activate your account.
Fetch facility details and complete the e-contract
Once logged in, verify your facility using its HFR ID or license number, then fill in service details, banking information, and tariffs before submitting for co-signing by a witness.
SHA states the full process, from account creation to a submitted e-contract, takes under 15 minutes once your documents are ready.
How to log in to SHA E-Contracting
Go to econtracting.sha.go.ke/login, enter the email and password you registered with, and click Log In. If you’ve forgotten your password, use the Forgot your password? link on the same page to reset it.
Tracking your application after you submit
Once submitted, your contract status is visible from your facility dashboard. You can monitor approval progress, respond to any queries raised during regulatory validation or financial due diligence, and renew your contract from the same dashboard once it’s active.
