KMTC Nairobi campuses at a glance
Nairobi County has 3 KMTC campuses: the main Nairobi Campus, which shares grounds with KMTC’s national headquarters opposite Kenyatta National Hospital, plus Karen Campus along Ngong Road and Mathare Campus inside Mathari National Teaching and Referral Hospital. This is KMTC’s flagship campus and doubles as the college’s national headquarters. It’s been operating since 1927, making it the oldest and largest campus in the KMTC system, with the widest course range of any campus nationwide.

A quieter, lower-traffic campus compared to the main Nairobi site, with student intake in the hundreds. It runs Certificate and Diploma programmes including Nutrition and Dietetics, alongside other allied health courses.
KMTC Mathare Campus

Operating since the early 1960s, this campus sits inside Mathari Hospital’s grounds, which gives students direct clinical exposure to mental health training alongside its general programmes.
KMTC Nairobi fee structure
KMTC sets fees centrally, per student category — not per campus. Whichever Nairobi campus you’re placed at, if you’re a Regular Kenyan student you’ll pay KES 82,200 in Year 1 and KES 78,000 a year in Years 2 and 3, the same as students at any other KMTC campus nationwide. In-Service, East Africa and Foreign students follow the same national rate cards too.
