Re-sitting or doing remedial studies for a course lasting up to six months attracts a charge of 50% of that programme’s fee.
How to pay KMTC fees via Jiunge
KMTC has moved all fee payments onto the Jiunge platform, which links directly to the college’s ERP system and government Paybill 222222. Cash paid directly to the college is not accepted, and the college won’t take responsibility for money sent to personal accounts, phone numbers, or any platform other than Jiunge.
Go to jiunge.com and click Pay FeesThis opens the Jiunge payment portal used across KMTC campuses.
Sign up or log inCreate a Jiunge account with your email, verify it, and set your password. Returning users just log in.
Enter the OTP sent to your emailThe code expires in 30 seconds, so have your inbox open before you request it.
Search for Kenya Medical Training CollegeAdd it to your home page, then enter your KMTC registration number and click Add.
Select Tuition Fees under View ServicesEnter the amount you want to pay and continue.
Choose your payment mode and payPick M-Pesa or bank, edit your M-Pesa number if needed, click Initiate Payment, then enter your M-Pesa PIN to complete it.
⚠️ Only pay through Jiunge and Paybill 222222. KMTC has warned students against sending money to personal phone numbers or third-party accounts claiming to process fee payments on the college’s behalf.
Important notes on KMTC fees
- You can pay your full year’s fees at once, or in two installments: KES 129,700 on or before registration, and KES 124,000 on or before the start of the second semester.
- The fee structure is currently under review by the Ministry of Health. Any approved changes will be communicated directly to students.
- If you’re discontinued on academic or other grounds, you’ll be required to pay full fees again on resumption of training.
- Fees already paid are not refundable if a student is dismissed or absconds.
- Costs incurred during practical attachment or research, beyond what’s listed here, are the student’s own responsibility — check with your faculty for specifics.
- You need to be vaccinated against Hepatitis B and Typhoid before reporting to college, and bring a valid vaccination certificate from a recognised health facility.
- You need an NHIF cover of your own, or a copy of a parent’s NHIF card, at the point of admission.

Can I pay KMTC fees in installments?
Yes. KMTC allows two installments: KES 129,700 on or before registration, and KES 124,000 on or before the start of the second semester. Paying the full year upfront is encouraged, but not compulsory.
What’s the difference between Regular, In-Service and East Africa fees at KMTC?
Regular and In-Service Kenyan students pay the same rate — KES 82,200 in Year 1, KES 78,000 in the years after. East Africa students, from neighbouring EAC countries, pay a higher band: KES 122,200 in Year 1. Foreign students outside East Africa pay the highest band, KES 252,200 in Year 1, mainly due to a much larger tuition fee component.
Does the KMTC fee structure include uniform costs?
No — the official fee schedule doesn’t list a separate uniform line item, and meals and accommodation aren’t fixed centrally either. These are confirmed at your specific campus once you report. Check with your campus administration for current uniform pricing on your programme.
